Darwin Whitman Sr Darwin Whitman Sr. began his Denominational employment in the Southern Union 45 years ago; first as field rep, with Christian Record
Braille Foundation, followed by Canvasser/Dist. Dir., for the Southern Union Publishing Dept., from which he retired after 15 years. Immediately following that – he was led by God to begin a “Supportive/Independent Ministry” – specializing in teaching the Sanctuary Message, (considered “Present Truth”). “There are many precious truths contained in the Word of God, but it is “present truth” that the flock needs now. I have seen the danger of the messengers running off
from the important points of present truth, to dwell upon subjects that are not calculated to unite the flock and sanctify the soul. Satan will here take every possible advantage to injure the cause. { EW 63.1} But such subjects as the sanctuary, in connection with the 2300 days, the commandments of God and the faith
of Jesus, are perfectly calculated to explain the past Advent movement and show what our present position is, establish the faith of the doubting, and give certainty to the glorious future. These, I have frequently seen, were the principal subjects on which the messengers should dwell.” { EW 63.2} And to this end, this outreach is celebrating 31 years of continuous ministry, to Churches and Educational institutions of all persuasions throughout North America, through classes, seminars, and full doctrinal crusades. Darwin is married to Joyce (Colbaugh/Whitman), now reaching 44 years, and together, they have a combined
family of seven grown children, plus Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren; 2 RN’s, 1 Business Owner, and 1 SDA Pastor in the Indiana Conference. In teaching
this exciting, and important subject, the Sanctuary Message, he uses visual aids he has put together through the years, i.e. a 4 X 10 foot model of the Wilderness Sanctuary, a model of High Priest in full dress, Power Point, et all, which have been appreciated by young and old – and – congregations of varied religious backgrounds!
